Weekend Activity Update
March Events:
During the first three week of March, we will highlight Women of Courage.
1. Amanda Adams will be coordinating for us to learn more about this ministry and provide ways that we can help.
2. Ivy Hill is participating in an upcoming missions trip to Africa. We will set aside March 22-26 as a fundraiser for her trip.
3. March 6th, 9-12 AM - We will be helping Crossfire at the Millers' home, 647 Bridger Dr. We will divide up into two team: jam making for an upcoming Crossfire fundraiser -or- a team of ladies to fill soap and lotion bottles.
4. March 12th, 6:30 PM - Movie Night at Marcy's. We're watching a great pioneer movie.
5. March 13th, 8 AM - Read the Word Coffee at Kathy Collard's. See attached map. All are welcome!
6. March 13th, 10 AM - 2nd Annual Women in Missions Lunch. Guest Speaker is Mary Dunham Faulkner of Leah's Sisters. Tickets are $10. See http://www.newlifechurch.org/nln.jsp?id=145 for more info.
From Pastor Karen - I am writing you to let you know about this occasion, and since you have graciously and generously served in the women’s ministry either as a women’s group leader or as an events team member, we would like to give you the opportunity to join our team of volunteers for the Beth Moore event! From Pastor Karen about "Come to the Garden" - Since the first of the year, we have been pressing in and hearing more about God’s priorities for our lives, experiencing His Presence and His healing. These prayer meetings are powerful in the Lord and we are witnessing firsthand how much our heavenly Father delights in His daughters gathering together to worship Him, be still before Him, receive of His unfailing love, and nurture each other. ---- Come to the Garden is changing from meeting every Wednesday evening to meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of every month, beginning in March. We will continue to meet at the same time and same place – 7:00-8:30 pm in the WPC Room 107. Childcare is still available in the main church building, too.
Remember Stop Child Trafficking Now? There's a gala event being held. See http://thepinery.com/stop.php. If you are interested in attending, please let me know. It's $25/person or $250/table. Would you also pass the word to others? The coordinating team is looking for Table Hostesses, a Prayer Team, etc.
