2012 Qtr 1 Chosen Bible Study Options @ NLC

This curriculum is excellent! It's Beth Moore's Living Beyond Yourself, which is one of Beth's most used Bible Study. We're progressing slowly through this workbook/DVD study.  Through this study you'll come to appreciate the supernatural aspects of the fruit and that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on your own. Beth challenges you to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God

This Daniel study is a faith-building study of prophecy. We discuss living with integrity in today's self-absorbed society. The prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats. Today, believers in Jesus Christ face many of the same trials. The first 6 lessons discuss Daniel chapters 1-6 and all that Daniel faced. It's just like the pressures and temptations Christians encounter today. The second portion, lessons 7-12, explores thrilling prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Jesus Christ.

John Bevere's Driven by Eternity
Scripture tells us that how we live this life will determine the way we spend eternity. This book will teach you how to meet the great Judge of Heaven and Earth with hope and assurance.
> Discover your calling

> Understand the judgement of the deceived & believers

> Build a foundation of Scriptural truths about eternity

> Learn to multiply what God has given to you

Aug. 27th Eve - 6 Potluck; 6:30 Worship;
7 Program - World Prayer Center, Rm 107
An evening to connect, learn, love, laugh & live in the light! Our guest musician and friend is
Megan Isaacson!

I've heard it said that passion is contagious. Have lunch with an avid fisherman and you may want to grab a fishing pole yourself. Spend an afternoon with a sports fan, and you might begin cheering for a team you've never heard of. Spend thirty minutes with lead worshiper Megan Isaacson and her guitar and you’ll find yourself profoundly aware of the presence of God, an experience that will leave you thirsty for more of Him and less of you.

Megan is an unquenchable worshiper, which makes her a powerful worship leader and songwriter. Armed with a love for the Word of God and a thirst for His presence, she writes, plays and sings to worship her King and invites everyone to join her. Megan says …

"Something beautiful and powerful happens when God's people worship Him!"

"Whether we are many or few, worshiping with an orchestra or just our voices, it is the offering of hearts cleansed by the blood of Jesus and empowered by His Spirit that blesses the heart of God. Our worship is from Him, through Him and to Him!"

Megan's God-given ability to usher people into an awareness of the presence of God has refreshed and revived believers all over the world. She primarily leads with her voice and a guitar. "I like to keep it simple, as if we're singing around the coffee table in the living room. We're family, after all.”

Megan travels the U.S. and the world as a full-time lead worshiper and songwriter. She is the founder of River Wild Ministries. Megan is passionate about leading the people of God, through music, to respond to the love of God.

Cost is free! A donation basket will be available to donate towards Megan’s Ministry. Megan’s CDs will be available for purchase.

Ladies,

Kristen Anderson is a young woman whose suicide attempt was interrupted. Sometimes we don't know about the pain in other people's lives. Sometimes we can't even admit to the discouragement that is brewing in our own lives. But, God has a plan!

Wednesday night (7/28) is an unexpected night of miracles and encouragement put together just for you.

Kristen Jane Anderson, author of Life, In Spite of Me, will be at New Life Church's, 11025 Voyager Pkwy, World Prayer Center, Room 107 at 6:30 PM.

Cost is free! Light refreshments will be served. There will be a donation basket in the back of the room if you would like to donate towards Kristen's ministry (http://www.reachingyouministries.com/).

See http://www.reachingyouministries.com/Kristen.html to read more about her story.

During first three week of March, we will highlight Women of Courage. Amanda Adams will be coordinating for us to learn more about this ministry and provide ways that we can help.

Ivy Hill is participating in an upcoming missions trip to India. We will set aside March 22-26 as a fundraiser for her trip. Here's a note from Ivy.

Over the past year, I have become involved in a group called "the MILL". There are over 1,000 people who gather every Friday night. theMILL exists to help people bend their lives around God. We are encouraged to realize that walking with God is not about fitting God into life, gut rather allowing God to define and inform who we are. This May, theMILL is taking a mission trip to India. I have been selected to be part of the mission's team, and that's why I'm writing you!
I am currently working to raise funds to get me there. I would be grateful for your prayers as I prepare to go. Any contribution you could make would be greatly appreciated. Whether or not you are able to give at this time, your prayers are coveted.
If you have any questions or would like more information concerning this trip please call me at 719-290-9515 or email me at Hill1A03@yahoo.com. I would love to share more details with you.

From Pastor Karen (3/9):
Good afternoon mighty women of God. Wanted to get out a reminder that the Garden is not meeting this week. Beginning this month we are meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. We will meet again on March 17th – same time and location!
The Lord continues to move in mighty ways among us at the Garden. One young woman experienced complete healing in her neck last Wednesday evening, and wrote to share her testimony with me and the women who prayed for her, saying, “I know I was healed by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.” We also took Communion together, for God’s spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. As we partook of the Lord’s Supper, He affirmed His love for each of us and His promise that all blessings of salvation are reserved for us, and we affirmed our faith and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ as we took this meal, remembering the price He paid to set us all free.
I would like to share with you a reading from Sarah Young’s devotional, “Jesus Calling.” The title is Rest in My Radiant Presence, and she writes, “the world around you seems to spin faster and faster, till everything is a blur. Yet there is a cushion of calm at the center of your life, where you live in union with Me. Return to this soothing Center as often as you can, for this is where you are energized: filled with My Love, Joy, and Peace. The world is a needy place; do not go there for sustenance. Instead, come to Me. Learn to depend on Me alone, and your weakness will become saturated with my Power.”

What an encouraging word, and powerful reminder of God’s unfailing love for us, His provision, covering, grace and mercy!
May you each experience God’s Radiant Presence, His healing light and love more deeply every day.

From Pastor Karen (3/9):

Please note that you don't have to have either book to join us in the study. These are optional resources. I just wanted you to know about this great savings!

Bait of Satan by John Bevere is a book written by John Bevere. Your response determines your future. Have you ever been trapped? This book exposes one of Satan's most deceptive snares used to pull believers out of God's will. It is the trap of offense. Jesus said, "It is impossible that offenses will not come" (Luke 17:1). The question is not, "Will you encounter the bait of Satan?" Rather, how will you respond? Don't let another's sin or mistake affect your relationship with God! Remove yourself from the unnecessary drama of life.

Each of the seven lessons will only take you about 30 minutes to complete! Explore how to apply God's initiative to your life. It'll change you! Used by millions.
